Birth

If you have a baby, you may make certain changes to your benefits, including adding your new child and other eligible dependents to your coverage.

You have 31 days after the birth of your child to make certain benefit changes. Any benefit changes you make are effective the date of the event. If you do not meet this deadline, you must wait until annual enrollment to make changes.

If you are making changes within 31 days of the event, review the benefits listed below to see the changes you may make or changes that will occur as a result of this life event.
