EAP
In today's fast-paced world, juggling work and your personal life and all associated demands and pressures can feel overwhelming. Fortunately, you have somewhere to turn to, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP counseling is goal-oriented and solution-focused. Depending on your situation, the counselor may suggest additional sessions to help you reach your goals.

The Employee Assistance Program services are free of charge to you and your eligible family members. See the section Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for answers to commonly asked questions. For assistance regarding your EAP, please call ValueOptions at 1-800-982-8161 or Northrop Grumman Corporate EAP at 1-888-215-8047. Important Note for Technical Services employees covered by Boon administered health plans: For EAP services, contact Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield at 1-800-346-5484 or www.AnthemEAP.com.

EAP can help you with a variety of issues:

  • Marital and family problems
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Child or adult care issues
  • Alcohol and/or drug abuse
  • Balancing work and family
  • Work-related concerns
  • Career transition issues
  • Personal growth and development

When you call the EAP, you will speak with an experienced and licensed counselor who will assist you in getting the help you need.

If the counselor believes that you need specialized or longer-term counseling, you may be referred to another qualified professional. The important thing is that you decide, along with the counselor, about the action plan that is right for you. The EAP helps you resolve personal problems before they negatively affect your health, relationships with others, or job performance.
